Thursday 7 February 2019 – RADIATE members from Oxford and Dresden arrived in Brussels
Friday 8 February 2019 – The remaining members arrived in Brussels – Followed by a very interesting tour to the House of European History. The RADIATE team were then met by Jenni Gozzi, the EC representative, for lunch at the Berlaymont Building – headquarters of the European Commission. Lunch was followed by a tailored visit to the EU Commission in the Charlemagne Building. The visit consisted of talks on the European Commission, Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions and the European Research Council. The talks were very informative and well received by RADIATE members, who would all like to thank Jenni Gozzi and all the speakers for their time in arranging such a superb visit. The day was brought to a close with dinner for all RADIATE-ITN members.
Saturday 9 February 2019 – Final wrap up meeting took place at the UCLouvain campus. Ruth Muschel gave an opening presentation on the RADIATE project. There were presentations by RADIATE-ITN Principle Investigators to update all RADIATE members on the progress of ESR projects. RADIATE-ITN members had a final lunch together before the end of the meeting.
Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 February 2019 – Some RADIATE members remained in Brussels for additional social events (non-RADIATE activities), such as a visit to a brewery on Saturday evening and a visit to the Parlamentarium on Sunday.
