The third RADIATE-ITN Meeting took place at the Campus of the Medical School of the University Duisburg-Essen (Universitätsklinikum Essen), September 15-17, 2017. It was held back to back with the ERR/GBS Conference in Essen, September 17-21 2017.
The Meeting provided an opportunity for RADIATE-ITN Early Stage Researchers (ESRs) and Partners to view and discuss the work being carried out within the RADIATE network. During this meeting and workshop a strong emphasis was placed on team-building exercises to enable the ESRs within RADIATE to work in teams, with the aim of establishing both short and long term scientific collaborations in the radiation biology field. ESRs presented talks on their work to the rest of the consortium and there was ample opportunity for all members to engage in some lively and detailed discussions on the projects.
The event included a complementary skills training workshop on scientific writing and a Scholars in Training Career Session – shared with the Young Investigator Session of the ERRS/GBS Conference, Essen 2017.
As an outreach event RADIATE-ITN ESRs participated in both Oral presentation sessions and poster sessions at the ERRS/GBS Conference, Essen 2017.
